Employees can now easily add their physical cards to their virtual wallets, making it simpler than ever to make payments on the go, whether online or in-store. This digital-first update offers more flexibility and convenience, and we’ve outlined some important details below.
1. What does this mean for my employees?
With this update, your employees can now add their existing HealthNow or Extraordinary card to their virtual wallets, such as Apple Pay or Google Pay, making it easy to use their card for both online and in-store purchases directly from their phone.
Your employees will get:
- Instant access: Employees can link their physical card to their virtual wallet using the Extraordinary app, providing immediate access to a flexible payment method.
- Simple setup: The app will guide employees step-by-step through the process, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Enhanced flexibility: This update aligns with our goal of offering businesses and their teams a faster, more convenient way to manage payments.
2. What if my employees haven't got a card yet?
The virtual wallet requires an active card. Make sure you have invited your employees to activate their accounts before they install the Extraordinary app.
3. How do employees add their cards to their virtual wallets?
To get started, employees will need to download the Extraordinary app from the App Store or Google Play. After downloading, they’ll be guided through a simple process within the app to add their card to Apple Pay or Google Pay.

4. How soon can employees start using their cards virtually?
Once employees download the app and link their card to their virtual wallet, they can start making payments immediately – both online and in-store!
5. Can their cards be used for both online and in-store purchases?
Yes, absolutely! Once their card is added to a virtual wallet, employees can use it for both online and in-store purchases anywhere Mastercard is accepted.
6. Will the app interface now reflect the Extraordinary brand?
Yes! The app interface has been updated from the HealthNow brand to the new Extraordinary branding. This change is part of our ongoing rebranding efforts to provide a more modern and cohesive look and feel.
Rest assured, all features and functionality of the cards remain unchanged. The only difference will be the new visual identity within the app, which better aligns with our refreshed company direction.
7. Will my employees’ physical HealthNow cards show up as Extraordinary-branded in their virtual wallets?
Yes, all cards in the virtual wallet will now display the Extraordinary branding, regardless of whether the physical card is from the HealthNow or Extraordinary brand.
Exception: Custom co-branded cards will retain their existing design in the wallet.
8. What if my employees have a custom-branded card? Will it still appear in their wallet?
If your employees have a custom co-branded card, the custom design will still appear in their virtual wallet. Only the standard HealthNow-branded cards will be updated to the new Extraordinary branding.
