Extraordinary supports setting up a SAML connection to enable SSO with your identity provider. You can begin this process via Settings page in the Customer Portal, as long as you have the proper permissions.
Doing so safely requires at least a working understanding of the SAML standard, and how your Identity Provider of choice implements it.
During this setup:
- Your organisation will be switched to SAML based SSO authentication.
- You will be provided with configuration information for your IdP.
- Users will no longer be able to log in directly with email/password, and will be required to log in via your identity provider.
- In order to avoid locking your users out of Extraordinary, please verify before triggering the migration that the configuration in your IdP has been completed accurately.
Please note that IdP-Initiated SSO is not supported - users will need to log in from the Extraordinary Portals or Mobile App. Attempting to log in from your identity provider's application dashboard will fail.
