How can the Public Transport module be cost neutral for Employers?

The Public Transport module is priced at $4.17 per enrolled employee ($50 per annum). This module is designed to be largely cost-neutral for employers, as the salary-sacrificed funds do not incur KiwiSaver contributions or other payroll taxes, which covers our fee.

Our Public Transport Module Management Paper template (linked below) outlines an example scenario that explicitly illustrates the saving to an Employer via reduced Kiwisaver contributions for the salary sacrificed component of our scheme. See the relevant section below in the screenshot:


This example provides an example and workings that can be used to extrapolate across all employees to confirm that our solution is cost neutral or thereabouts.
