Is payroll required to set up, amend, pause or cease a valid salary sacrifice for the Public Transport module?

Yes, as the salary sacrifice process is usually managed by company payroll administrators or via a Payroll app or another payroll process.

An employee would need to communicate with their payroll team to make a change.  

Most employers offer bi-annual or quarterly election windows to allow onboarding, offboarding, amendments or salary sacrifice holidays.
